Hiking in the Rincon de la Vieja National Park will give you the opportunity to experience real volcanic attractives such as hot springs, mud pots, fumaroles and lagoons while spotting different species of birds and mammals of this area.In las Pailas trail (1 and a half hour hike) ,its natural trail will take you through a primary and secondary forest and appreciate the transition from dry to humid forest and discover a seasonal waterfall. 
An excellent place if you want to get real and beautiful photos of a volcanic zone. The Rincon de la Vieja National Park is part of the Guanacaste Conservation Area , created in 1973 , with an extension of 35.336 acres.
This National Park is a volcanic massif with 9 craters,at the same time it works as a watershed divisory line between the Pacific and Atlantic and if this is not enough more than 28 rivers are born in this area. This National Park is located just 30 minutes away from Liberia
