Are you interested in seeing one of the two species of sloths that we have in Costa Rica (who knows maybe we run into the two species), while hiking through the rainforest in the northern part of Costa Rica,well this is a 1 and a half hour tour in small scale family run ecotourism project set on an organic farm,in Bijagua of Upala,Alajuela, with the majestic sight of the Tenorio Volcano. During this hike you will learn about ornamental,medicinal and common tropical plants of the rainforest, also about insects and other animals, such as butterflies in the butterfly garden and farm, also will have the chance to see beautiful frogs ( poisonous and non poisonous) as well as snakes like boas constrictors and corals. After the tour the owners of this ecotourism place will have a delicious costarican lunch for you.
But that’s not it, because before we head to the rainforest we’ll stop by one of the best waterfall in Guanacaste “Llanos del Cortes” for a quick swimming this waterfall is located in the canton of Bagaces,inside a Tropical Dry Forest.
